NEW!! - VIDEO CLIPS:
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 1 - This is a clip getting on the highway, letting the transmission shift automatically. You can hear it short shift a bit. I believe the engine had the dual plane intake and smaller cam in it (rather than the Torker and Bullet cam shown on the site).
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 2 - Here's just cruisin' around town, showing the vacuum, air/fuel, oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel pressure guages working.
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 3 - Here's a blip in first gear, then a close up of the air/fuel guage working.
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 4 - No car in this one, just me trying to swat bugs off of me while talking to Mark or something (?). No particular reason for posting this one.
SOUND CLIPS:
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 1 - This clip is the car starting - the car stalled briefly, but I left that in the sound clip because you can hear the in-tank electric fuel pump running for a few seconds after the engine stalled. The recorder was placed under the rear bumper very close to the gas tank, which is why the pump sounds so loud. CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 1 AS AN MP3 FILE.
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 2 - This clip is the car entering the highway in a sparsely populated area. I brought the engine up against the converter and let it go, but had to back pedal briefly because of wheel spin. I made the 1-2 shift at about 5700-5800 RPM, and the 2-3 shift at about 5500 RPM, then dropped the tranny into overdrive. By the way, the ramp is also uphill. CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 2 AS AN MP3 FILE
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 3 - This clip is pulling away from a stoplight next to a young kid in a 90's full size Chevy pickup with a little "bling". This wasn't a race, but I saw the kid oggling the car, and gave him an audio treat. CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 3 AS AN MP3 FILE
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 4 - This clip is just cruising down a back road. The car is really pretty civil when driving, as you can hear by the interior noise level (or lack of noise). Notice the RPM's drop all the way down even though I have a 3000 stall converter because of the torque converter lockup. The lockup automatically activates at less than full throttle in 4th gear only. CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 4 AS AN MP3 FILE
CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 5 - In this clip I accellerate away from a stoplight in a deserted area at a normal pace, then nail it from about 20 MPH. I let the transmission shift automatically, and it shifted from 1 to 2 at about 5900-6000 RPM. CLICK HERE FOR CLIP 5 AS AN MP3 FILE
